Trail finders managing director Mike Gooley (right) and sales director Peter Amor discuss one of many overland programmes they offer. Together with co-director Roger Hamer they founded Trail Finders in 1970. As veterans travellers themselves they totally believe that overland travel is the only way to see the world as it really is.

Jane Cockerill, british and 25 years old. She was bitten by the travel bug in 1971 and spent 6 months with a private expedition to India and back. Having joined the Trail Finders team early in 1972 she went with Trail Finders managing directoe Mike Gooley and 5 others on a fact finding Trans Africa expedition to Nairobi later that year. Jane has personal experience of both the overland routes to Asia and Trans Africa.

Harvey Bonham a 30 year old New Zealander spent 6 months coming to Europe from New Zealand in 1970. Since then he has driven the overland route to India 8 times. Harvey joined the Trail Finders team 15 months ago and since then his expertise has been of tremendous value to many hundreds of people travelling to Asia and beyond. If you have any quiries on the route to India Harvey knows the answers because he's done it all himself.

Jenny Oehrie a 20 year old American, has travelled extensively in the US and Canada and has crossed most of Europe. Having been schooled in her family's travel agency in the states, Jenny specialises in our economical flights to the Far East and Australia.

Elaine Wills 28 year old Australian is the newcomer to our team. She has just arrived in the UK having come north across Africa with a Kimbla Trans Africa trip. This picture was taken on that trip.

All this undertaken in a 20 year old Asian Greyhound, Swagman Tours, LS Bristol bus. This Indiaoverland company was held together by Norm Harris an expatriate Aussie living in Windsor. With drivers like Bob Ashford, Geoff Lawrence, Clive Parker, Dave Watt, Ronnie Martin, John Witchard, Ken Mcdonald, Derek Amey & couriers Fred Fisher, Jos Livingstone, Peter Swift, Kieren Smith & mechanics Gordon Hammond, Graham Libby, Pomme John & Rastas just to name a few.
